Faroque Hussain

Faroque Hussain is a senior police officer with Police Scotland, bringing extensive experience across various roles and divisions. His career began as a constable, with notable secondments to the British Transport Police in London following the 7/7 bombings and as a Police Advisor to the Immigration Service at the Home Office. Faroque progressed to the Specialist Crime Division, achieving the rank of Detective Superintendent and leading Border Policing Command.

He was seconded to the National Crime Agency, where he collaborated with police forces, academia, and industry to address the digital skills gap in UK law enforcement. Faroque later became Chief Superintendent, leading the Ayrshire Police Division from 2020.

In 2023, Faroque was promoted to Temporary Assistant Chief Constable, overseeing Partnerships, Prevention, and Community Wellbeing. He is a passionate advocate for community engagement and inclusivity.
