Start Here

We seek to provide a welcoming, encouraging, and exciting environment to help you learn the fundamentals of Studio Art Practices in drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. There is also opportunity for you to further apply these skills into other areas of your own practices possibly as studio artist, student, teaching experience or community artist.

Our evening course offers you the opportunity to develop your interest in art and design, benefiting from our tutors’ depth of knowledge and passion for their subject. The aim is to enable you to find and extend your creative abilities by working with you individually and as part of a group, providing practical instruction and encouragement.

All the necessary materials are included, there are no additional costs.

What's Involved

The Studio is a low-toxic environment with dedicated printmaking, drawing and mixed media facilities for professional hands-on learning. This course is an ideal way to explore a wide variety of artistic methods and media, learning new artistic skills, discovering what you enjoy most, and developing creative ideas.

Over the 16 weeks, students work across the different disciplines of drawing, printmaking, and mixed media. Throughout the course, students will have a chance to improve observational drawing skills, along with more expressive and experimental mark-making approaches and processes.

This is a great ‘taster’ course and an excellent opportunity to develop new skills, explore materials, and have fun in a dynamic, encouraging, participative and professional Studio environment.
