This 1 day course is suitable for all members of staff who have reason to design and/or deliver briefings and presentations within the workplace. It is ideally suited for those with little or no experience of this and would also be of benefit to those who are more experienced in this role.

What's Involved?

Course Content

Briefing and presentation skills are an integral part of many employee’s roles, and the ability to communicate effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders within an organisation is of vital importance. Attendees will gain presentation skills and build confidence via completion of this course. The course content includes the following:

Introduction to briefings and presentations:

  • Expectations of effective briefings and presentations
  • Assessing the audience for maximum impact

Preparing for briefings and presentations:

  • Planning for presentations
  • Preparing for different presentation types (Tell, Sell, Hear)

Delivery skills and challenges:

  • Addressing fears and managing expectations
  • Establishing a speaking presence (Power of body language)

Making presentations memorable:

  • Incorporating visual aids
  • Involving the audience – Ideas for participation (Digital Interaction)
  • Presenting memorable stories

At the end of this course, attendees will have improved skills in the delivery of information and the various formats that this may take. Along with this, attendees will be able to utilise body language to reinforce their message, as well as gain experience of a variety of digital audience participation aids.
