Overview

Are you interested in learning the skills to provide high quality care and education for children? This Level 5 course is designed to support your next steps towards a career in Early Years.

You will have the opportunity to develop your own confidence and skills whilst learning about the Early Learning and Childcare Sector. With your new skills you could one day be the difference in a child’s life.

Entry Requirements

For entry to this course, you will need:

  • A real interest in children's learning and development 
  • 5 National 4's including English, or
  • A relevant course at SCQF level 4
  • An interview with us 

Course Content

This course includes both hands-on practical experiences and essential theory.

Here’s just some of what you will learn:

  • Teamwork and working with others

  • Learning the theory behind why play is so important to young children’s learning
