This course is aimed at photographers who want to expand their knowledge of both different subject matters and editing techniques.
It's a project-driven but fun course covering various aspects of photography, such as creative techniques, basic studio photography and digital editing.
Developing your understanding of these techniques while helping you build examples of your work.
Entry Requirements
You will require a fully manual camera (DSLR or mirrorless) and a basic knowledge of its manual controls and settings, perhaps gained in the Beginners Digital Photography evening class, as well as a basic understanding of digital editing.
Course Content
The basics of Photoshop will covered, which will allow you to develop this aspect of your photography, but an essential understanding of computers and editing software is advised.
You will learn through a range of activities such as tutor demonstrations and workshops, as well as class discussion and through self and peer evaluation. By the end of the course, you will have a better understanding of photographic and editing techniques, producing an array of photographs for your own pleasure or to support an application to one of our full-time courses.
Careers and Further Study
On successful completion of this course and depending on what you have produced, qualifications and experience, you may continue to hone your skills in our evening classes or progress to either:
- Level 6 Photography (Full-Time Course)
- HNC Photography (Full-Time Course)
