Overview

START ANYTIME - This PDA is for all non-workplace assessors of regulated qualifications such as HN's or qualifications on training courses. Delegates will complete SQA Unit H290 35: Conduct the Assessment Process (SCQF Level 8)

What's Involved?

This PDA is for assessors of non-workplace standards, eg HNs or qualifications assessed during training courses or as part of off-the-job training.

In order to undertake the programme, the candidate must be in an existing role assessing two further candidates who are working towards a HN or equivalent non-workplace qualification

After completion of this course, learners can progress onto the PDA Conduct the Internal Verification Process (L&D SQA Unit: H291 35)

Course Content

The candidate will undertake the SQA unit: H290 35 Conduct the Assessment Process (SCQF Level 8)".

The types of activities the candidate will be involved in include:

  • Agree assessment arrangements with candidates
  • Conduct assessment with candidates
  • Review evidence and communicate assessment decisions to candidates
  • Contribute and conform to internal quality assurance requirements

Completion timescale is dependent on candidate’s ability to generate evidence and participate in observations as required.
