Engineering Recruitment Fair 2026

We are hosting an Engineering Recruitment Fair on Thursday 22 January 2026 from 9.30am - 2.00pm at our Kilmarnock Campus.

College students, school pupils and the wider public are invited to come along to meet with local engineering companies and find out about opportunities available in the sector.

This will be the fourth time we've hosted this exhibition type event, and it's growing year on year. We already have 20 plus companies confirmed, with more being added daily.

It's a great way to learn about a variety of engineering pathways, connect with industry and explore next steps.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Times

The event will run from 9.30am - 2.00pm. College students and the wider public can drop in any time.

School bookings are being managed by DYW Ayrshire, and pupils can come along during one of the following slots:

Ayrshire Precision Engineering Limited was founded in 1969 and is based at Low Coylton in South Ayrshire. The business was originally set up by 5 former employees of Scottish Aviation (subsequently British Aerospace) to manufacture component parts for the regional aircraft that were then manufactured then at Cumnock & Prestwick. Over the 56 years since the business was founded, we have manufactured machined parts for the Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Nuclear, Food & Beverage as well as for general engineering sectors. The company currently has 25 employees with around one third of the current workforce having completed their apprenticeships here. We look forward to growing our business in the future with plans to increase our workforce through the employment of further apprentices and we are keen to highlight what we can offer to any potential engineers of the future through serving their apprenticeship with our company.

Our Engineering Apprenticeship Programme offers a unique opportunity to train as an operational engineer at NATS.
