Become a Student Ambassador at Ayrshire College

The Ayrshire College Student Association is looking to put together a team of 36 ‘Student Ambassadors’ to ensure every student voice is heard at the College.

Student Ambassadors will play a crucial role in gathering feedback from students. They will visit classes twice a year to facilitate focus groups about their course and overall college experience.

This information will be recorded and passed onto the College’s curriculum areas, who will devise action plans based on their students’ opinions.

The Student Association team hopes this new class feedback model will result in more students engaging with the College to improve their learning journey.

Anyone taking on the voluntary role will be fully trained and supported by the College’s Student Association. Student Ambassadors will work towards a Level 5 Leadership Award through the training programme.

Students are now able to apply for the roles using this online form hosted on Moodle.

Charlotte Mitchell, Ayrshire College Student Association Advisor, said “Every student’s voice matters at Ayrshire College, and so it’s important that we’re able to hear from as many students as possible about the things they’d like to see happen at the College going forward.

“If you are enthusiastic about shaping a better experience for students here at Ayrshire College, then consider getting involved in this exciting project.”
