International company gifts software to Ayrshire College

Creative students at Ayrshire College are to benefit from new image editing software provided by software company Skylum, which will help them unleash their creativity when working with their photos.

Skylum has gifted 20 copies of Luminar 3 - photo-editing software for Mac and PC - to the College’s Ayr Campus.

Luminar 3 is seen as a leading alternative to Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom. Luminar is a full-featured photo editor designed for photographers of all skill levels, blending pro-level tools with ease of use.

Evgeny Tchebotarev, Chief Growth Officer at Skylum, said of the partnership “We are very excited at the opportunity to sponsor Ayrshire College. From the very early days of Skylum we were supportive of educational initiatives, so being able to come in and support students is important in achieving our goal of empowering the new generation of creators.”

Gary McIntyre, Photography lecturer at Ayrshire College, said “I think it is fantastic that such an innovative and creative company is recognising the potential of future creators and I am really pleased that they chose to sponsor Ayrshire College and avail the students to this software.”
