Ayrshire College students get creative this Halloween
Music and Media students at Ayrshire College were kept busy last month working on a Halloween-themed collaboration with Rockpool Podcasts.
Rockpool Podcasts is an Ayrshire College-affiliated podcast named after the college's state-of-the-art recording and rehearsal facilities at its Ayr Campus - Rockpool Studios.
Students from the College's Music and Media departments have been involved in the Halloween project, demonstrating their prowess in music, performance, podcasting, scriptwriting, voiceover, sound design and production.
A five-part mini-series of podcasts was published earlier this week involving Introduction to Media, NQ Media and HNC Media students. While a video jukebox of music videos was released by Access to Music, HNC Music and HND Music students.
There was also an epic video trailer for the project which can be viewed at bit.ly/ACHalloween21 alongside the podcasts episodes (also found on Spotify) and music jukebox (also found on YouTube).
John McBlain, Music and Sound Production lecturer at Ayrshire College, said: "Creating and producing content is no easy feat. From the conception of ideas to planning, to rehearsing, writing and producing, and everything that goes on in between, it’s a tough gig that not everyone has the skills to pull off!
"I have been beyond impressed with the level of creativity, innovation and dedication shown by Music & Media students at Ayrshire College and I'd like to reiterate to every single student who contributed: you have shown true passion towards your learning and have gained further real-world skills, transferable to forging a career in the creative industries."
