Ayrshire College gains training provider certification

Ayrshire College has been officially approved as an Emergency First Aid at Work Training Centre.

The accreditation, provided by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland (REHIS), enhances the College’s position as a leading provider of education and training.

REHIS is an independent Scottish charity that aims to promote the advancement of environmental health to benefit Scottish communities. It aims to boost interest and knowledge of environmental health issues, promoting its education and training. It works to maintain high standards of professional practice among employees in the field by awarding qualifications for success.

The REHIS certification quality assures the College’s first aid courses and guarantees that the College meets industry standards, ensuring that employers can be confident that the courses are both relevant and current.

Ayrshire College offers a varied training portfolio, with both accredited and non-accredited courses, recognising that training is an important tool in upskilling employees to meet future skills needs, and to develop and retain talent within local organisations.

Head of Business Growth at Ayrshire College, Nuala Boyle said: “We are delighted Ayrshire College was recently approved as an Emergency First Aid at Work Training Centre by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland.
