Ayrshire College Showcases Skills and Opportunities at The International Ayr Show 2024
Ayrshire College proudly partnered with The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight 2024, a highlight event that connects innovation, community, and education. As a key sponsor, the College showcased exciting career pathways and hands-on learning experiences, driven by our dedicated staff, across two major spaces at the show.
At the STEM Marquee, Ayrshire College stood alongside major aerospace industry partners, such as Collins Aerospace, Ryanair, Spirit Aerosystems and more. Ayrshire College staff ran engaging activities in Aeronautical Engineering, Science, and Renewables, offering attendees a glimpse into the dynamic and in-demand skills our students develop. As the only educational institution in this marquee, our presence showcased Ayrshire College’s vital role in preparing the next generation of professionals for careers in these cutting-edge industries.
Meanwhile, at the Sponsors Trade Village, staff highlighted other key areas of study, including Hairdressing, Early Years, Health and Social Care, and Hospitality. These fields are where Ayrshire College excels at providing training that helps students pursue fulfilling careers, especially within sectors that are important to local communities. Visitors to the trade village saw first-hand how our courses are helping students build successful futures.

In the lead-up to the show, Ayrshire College also played an active role in STEM Week. Staff participated alongside local aerospace companies in running workshops for over 800 S2 students from Ayrshire schools, helping to inspire interest in careers within Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. These workshops gave students a chance to explore the exciting possibilities in STEM fields, offering a look into future careers that could begin at Ayrshire College.
The International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight 2024 provided Ayrshire College with a unique platform to showcase the practical skills and career-focused education we offer. Whether students are interested in aerospace, healthcare, hospitality, or other fields, our courses equip them with the tools they need to succeed.
