Students at Ayrshire College are benefiting from a major investment in professional equipment, as DEWALT continues to support learning and skills development at its only college partner in Scotland. As part of this exclusive partnership, DEWALT has provided a wide range of brand-new professional tools to enhance learning across construction, engineering, technology and trade programmes.

The new tools are now in use within college workshops, ensuring students develop their skills using the same equipment found on active worksites. This real-world approach strengthens technical competence, builds confidence and improves employability outcomes for learners preparing to enter the industry.

In addition to the tools, DEWALT has delivered hands-on training sessions and practical challenges, allowing students to apply their learning in realistic scenarios and gain valuable insight into industry expectations.  A key highlight of the initiative has been the presentation of a personal toolbox to each participating student, providing them with essential equipment they can carry forward into employment or apprenticeships.

Cameron Bell, Head of Learning & Skills, Construction, Technology, Trades & Renewables at Ayrshire College, said:

“Being DEWALT’s only college partner in Scotland is something we are incredibly proud of. Access to professional-grade tools and expert-led training allows our students to develop skills that are directly aligned with industry needs, while receiving their own toolbox gives them a real boost in confidence as they prepare for the workplace.”

Charlotte Collins, Trade Partnerships Manager, DEWALT, said:

“Our exclusive partnership with Ayrshire College reflects a shared commitment to developing future talent. By providing students with professional tools and practical learning experiences, we are helping ensure they leave college with the skills, confidence and readiness required to succeed in construction and engineering.”

Ayrshire College looks forward to building on this unique relationship, continuing to create meaningful opportunities that support learners and strengthen the future workforce.
