Chair of our Board of Management

The Role

Ayrshire College is governed by a Board of Management responsible for providing strategic leadership, effective oversight and assurance. The Principal and Executive Team are accountable to the board for the college’s operational management. 

The Chair leads the board, fostering constructive relationships with the Principal and stakeholders and ensuring strong governance supported by the Vice Chair, Senior Independent Member and committee structure.

Meet the Chair

Sharon Morrow has served as Interim Chair from 1 July 2025 and been a Non-Executive Board Member for four years, serving as Chair of Audit and Risk and Vice Chair of Learning, Teaching & Quality, while supporting Board recruitment and development.

A registered nurse with an Honours degree, dental nursing training, and an MBA, Sharon has extensive experience in training, consultancy, and dental practice management. Sharon also holds non-executive roles with NHS Ayrshire & Arran and The College of General Dentistry.
